KANGAR, Dec 21 (Bernama) -- Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail has called on more physically fit young people who meet the minimum academic qualifications to join the Territorial Army Regiment.

His Highness said it is a noble profession known for bravery, courage and sacrifice for the sake of national sovereignty.

“Set a good example in carrying out your responsibilities to the country. There are still many challenges and sacrifices that need to be faced together to adapt to the changes that are sweeping the world today,” said His Highness in a statement today.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra said this when gracing the conferment of ranks for officers of the 504th Territorial Army Regiment at Wisma Perwira in Mata Ayer here recently.

The Raja Muda of Perlis also called on all parties to pay serious attention to the stability, security and safety of the country so that citizens can continue to live in peace and prosperity.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra also congratulated Capt Fitri Azhar and Second Lieutenant Syed Ayman Shahabudin Syed Omar Shahabudin on their new ranks.

His Highness also praised Syed Ayman for being nominated to attend the Commissioning Course at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom next year.
