Smart Franchisees Get Recognition

Thursday, 05 Dec 2019 – FIFTEEN years of managing the Smart Reader Kids centre at Subang 2, Shah Alam, paid off for Joginder Kaur Dalvinder Singh, who took home the Franchisee of the Year award.

“I am on cloud nine. This would not have been possible without my husband who is my pillar of strength and always motivates me as well as my dedicated staff.

“This award has inspired me to work harder and remain committed to the 145 children in my centre, ” she said at the Smart Reader Worldwide 19th Franchisee Awards Night which was held at Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa, Petaling Jaya, with the theme, “Expression of Flower Power”.

The event recognised franchisees for their accomplishments throughout the year. Another recipient, Koh Chi Hui from Smart Reader Kids Putra Jaya, Bintulu, Sarawak, was awarded the Emerging Franchisee of the Year.

“I did not expect this. It is like a bonus, ” said Koh who ventured into Smart Reader three years ago as she is passionate about early childhood education.

“The award will motivate me to aim high, so next year I will be hoping to get higher awards, ” This year, over 100 franchisees nationwide were recognised for their efforts.

Other awards included Bizz Award, Cold Award, Platinum Award, Diamond Award, Radiant Diamond Award as well as Prestigious Award.

The event was graced by Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail and the Raja Muda’s daughter, Sharifah Khatreena Nuraniah Jamalullail.

Smart Reader Worldwide chief executive officer Datuk Seri Dr Richard Ong said in his speech that its high-spirited and passionate franchisees provided the best academic foundation to future leaders.

“Our franchisees have managed to utilise our established, systematic and creative syllabus with well-equipped facilities and materials to win over public confidence and prove Smart Reader Kids is the premier choice in early childhood education.

“We thank all of the franchisees for continuing to believe in us as we endeavour to provide the best of the best to our children, ” he said.

To date, there are more than 300 Smart Reader Kids centres nationwide while another 150 centres are located in Australia, China, Brunei, Thailand, the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates.

Awards 2019 organised by the World Confederation of Business. Smart Reader Worldwide also showcased their achievements such as Best Corporate Social Responsibility Award during the Malaysia Franchise Award 2019 and the Best Franchiser Award for Early Childhood Category at the Napei Education Excellence Awards.

Guests were entertained by dance performances by Smart Reader kids as well as a saxophone performance by Goh Boon Aik.
