Yemeni Envoy Shares Touching Moments Of Perlis Crown Prince’s Cycling Entourage

This simple, honest expression was shared by Yemeni Ambassador to Malaysia Dr Adel M Ba Hamid to Bernama in a statement today following his own experience cycling with the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail recently.

Through a local event where the crown prince meets the poor around Perlis via cycling, Adel personally described his journey with the royal entourage as “special”.

“I expected that it was just another sports activity, but it has exceeded that…it touches my heart and the event itself instilled many concepts and values in the hearts of both participants and beneficiaries,” he said.

On Nov 17, an entourage of cyclists headed by Tuanku Syed Faizuddin cycled through remote villages and handed out necessities to the underprivileged.

Elaborating, Adel expressed his gratitude to Tuanku Syed Faizuddin for allowing him to join the experience of meeting the locals and needy families through the event.

“I was very honoured and thankful to him to give me this opportunity to see such a beautiful model of community (and) solidarity, especially after I have spent more than 25 years in charitable and developmental community work.

“This programme simply covered many areas and sectors, provide a range of services, and most important of all, contributes to the dissemination of a set of good concepts and values among the participants and beneficiaries of what society needs today. I am very glad to say this from the bottom of my heart, Menjunjung Kasih Tuanku (Thank you, Tuanku),” said Adel, who assumed the office since Oct 2016.
